University

The employees of the Clyde River Foundation are honorary members of staff at the University of Glasgow, where we teach field courses and laboratory sessions in freshwater biology and fisheries science.

We supervise research projects at Honours, Masters and PhD level at the University of Glasgow’s Institute of Biodiversity, Animal Health and Comparative Medicine. Our first PhD student, Zara Gladman, recently completed her studies on the impact of the invasive American signal crayfish (in collaboration with Glasgow University, SNH and SEPA). We have also supervised students from Napier University and the University of the West of Scotland.
