Finding salmon in the Luggie - Kids and the Kelvin, 2011

Finding salmon in the Luggie – Kids and the Kelvin, 2011

Over the years, we have delivered one-off education projects that have built on the Clyde in the Classroom format. These have included Meet the Mouse and most recently Kids and the Kelvin – a successful project which involved 14 schools in the Kelvin Valley LEADER area of the River Kelvin catchment.

The success of this project has encouraged the Foundation to develop its ‘Meet Your River’ project. ‘Meet Your River’ gives children an in-depth understanding of the ecology of their local rivers through a hands-on, outdoor learning experience. It also encourages pupils to consider how the health of their river is linked to the health of their community.

For more information about this new project, have a look at the Kids and the Kelvin website or contact the Clyde River Foundation directly.
