Donate

When we receive donations, especially in this economic climate, it is always extremely welcome and wee bit humbling when we do. Below are a couple of examples of donations that we have received over the years. We hope that we have repaid the generosity through our work efforts.

In 2010, the rural Clyde lost one of its long-time supporters. George ‘Geordie’ Clark was a legend in his area, known for his passion, care and dedication to the river and countryside. A mainstay of the Lamington & District Angling Improvement Association, he was an incredible source of local knowledge and described by his club as having ‘Clyde water running in his veins.’

The proceeds of his funeral’s retiring collection was given to the Clyde River Foundation. A wee bit bowled over by the gesture, the Foundation used the money to part-fund three further schools to participate in the Clyde in the Classroom intiative, a cause dear to Geordie’s heart.
